Cezar Ferreira has a target for his next UFC fight.

Fresh off an impressive first-round victory over Karl Roberson at UFC 224, the first The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil winner has called out Darren Stewart, who dispatched Eric Spicely with a brutal knockout at UFC Liverpool.

”I think this is a fight that makes sense now,” Ferreira told MMA Fighting. “He has evolved a lot, just put on an exciting fight in the UFC and won by knockout, getting a performance bonus as well, so I think it makes sense.”

”We just won and came out uninjured from our fights, so I think we can make it happen before the end of July,” he continued. “I’m ready for whenever the UFC calls me. Let’s see if Darren accepts it and we’ll make this fight happen.”

Stewart scored a much-needed victory at UFC Liverpool, getting his hands raised for the first time in five Octagon appearances. “Mutante”, who won five of six since moving back up to 185 pounds, believes it’s a great match-up style-wise.

”We have similar fighting styles,” Ferreira said. “We’re both strikers who like to stand and bang, and that’s why it will be an interesting fight to watch. Fans will enjoy it because a knockout can happen at any moment, and that makes the fight even more interesting.”

The UFC currently has five cards scheduled for July, including a pay-per-view show in Las Vegas, with UFC 226 taking place on July 9, and international cards in Canada and Germany.
