Nobody could have predicted Jose Torres’s UFC debut ending like this.
The former Titan FC flyweight champion picked up his first win inside the Octagon under the most unique circumstances as he capitalized on a botched slam by opponent Jarred Brooks to score a second-round TKO win in the opening Fight Pass bout of UFC Utica on Friday.

After a first round that was clearly in favor of Brooks, “The Monkey God” went for an incredible throw in round two only to stun himself upon landing. Torres immediately pounced with ground-and-pound to finish the fight at the 2:55 mark of the second round.
With the win, Torres improved to 8-0 as a professional, while Brooks falls to 13-2 after being finished for the first time ever.
