Teruto Ishihara has been tasked with welcoming Petr Yan to the Octagon.

“Yashabo” will fight the debuting Yan at UFC Singapore on June 23 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Sources confirmed the bout with MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani following an announcement on the UFC’s Japanese site.

This will be Ishihara’s second appearance in 2018, following unanimous decision loss to Jose Quinonez in February at UFC 221. The 26-year-old Japanese fighter has lost three of his last four bouts and his pro record sits at 10-5-2.

Yan (8-1) is coming off of a successful run with Absolut Championship Berkut, where he went 6-1 and captured the Russian promotion’s 135-pound title. He signed with the UFC in January on the strength of three consecutive victories.

Also announced by the UFC were a welterweight bout between Kenan Song (12-3) and Hector Aldana (4-0), a featherweight bout between Felipe Arantes (18-9-1, 2 NC) and Yadong Song (11-3, 2 NC), and a welterweight bout between Li Jingliang (14-5) and Daichi Abe (6-1).

UFC Singapore will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Leon Edwards.
