Pearl Gonzalez and Barbara Acioly got started a bit early, one day ahead of their Invicta FC 29 bout.
The two fighters got into a physical scuffle Friday at Invicta 29 weigh-ins in Kansas City, Mo. The promotion tweeted video of the exchange afterward.

During the faceoff, Gonzalez moved very close to Acioly, which led to Acioly’s left fist ending up on the pearls around Gonzalez’s neck. Gonzalez grabbed Acioly’s hand and pulled it off. Acioly responded by reaching out and hitting Gonzalez — in an almost punch — in said pearls.
Gonzalez and Acioly had to be separated by Invicta videographer Cynthia Vance and play-by-play man TJ DeSantis.
Gonzalez (7-3) made her Invicta debut with a unanimous decision win over Kali Robbins in March in a strawweight fight. This bout will be contested at flyweight. Acioly (4-2) has lost two straight, the most recent to Takayo Hashi at Pancrase 293 in February.
