On a card full of knockouts and submissions, Michael Page authored one of the strangest ones of the evening.
“Venom”, a noted fight finisher, met David Rickels in the co-main event of Bellator 200 on Friday at the SSE Arena, Wembley in London and Rickels looked to be a willing dance partner for the British standup specialist.
However, a hard punch early in round two looked to hurt Rickels badly and after Page appeared to point out a growing cut above Rickels’s left eye, “The Caveman” motioned to the referee that he’d had enough.

This marked Page’s return to the Bellator cage following an 18-month hiatus. The 31-year-old improved to 13-0 as a professional, with 11 of his wins coming inside the distance.
Rickels took to social media shortly after the loss to praise “MVP”:
@Michaelpage247 you sir are the real deal. Thank you for playing the most violent game with me. pic.twitter.com/ksBsPy7Aoc
