Phil Davis, knockout artist? You better believe it.
Davis, the former Bellator light heavyweight champion, put away Linton Vassell with a sensational head kick KO on Friday afternoon at Bellator 200. Just 65 seconds into the third round, “Mr. Wonderful” caught Vassell with a picture-perfect right high kick that instantly slept the two-time title challenger. The performance pushed Davis’ winning streak to two straight and marked only the second knockout of his 19-fight UFC/Bellator career.
Bellator 200 took place May 25 at The SSE Arena in London, England. The event’s main card is scheduled to air tonight on tape delay on Paramount Network at 9 p.m. ET.
