SBG Ireland middleweight Will Fleury will make his first walk as a Bellator fighter against a fellow newcomer, Massimiliano Sammarco, who will have home advantage in Rome, Italy when the pair face off at Bellator 203 on July 14.
Multiple sources confirmed the fight with MMA Fighting.
Fleury (4-0-0) has gained a reputation for his dogged fighting style on the European scene and remains unbeaten after his first two years in the professional ranks.
The Irishman made a name for himself on EFC’s reality platform The Fighter. He was forced from the tournament after a controversial stoppage, which was later overturned to a no-contest. Fleury graduated to the pro ranks after an unbeaten 7-0 run at amateur level.
Sammarco (6-1-0) takes on international opposition for the first time in his promotional bow. He’s currently on a three-fight win streak having taken victories against countrymen Bostan Vasili, Emanuele Palombi and Riccardo Maso. Although he boasts an impressive professional record, “Hydra” has not finished an opponent since 2014.
