The Mexican fighter has been booked to fight former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger Bethe Correia at UFC 227 on Aug. 4 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. The news was announced by the promotion on Friday.

Aldana last fought in January where she picked up a unanimous decision win over Talita Bernardo. The victory marked Aldana’s first victory inside the Octagon. The 30-year-old fighter who trains out of Lobo Gym in Mexico is 1-2 in her UFC run and 8-4 in her overall professional MMA career.

By the time Correia steps in the Octagon, it will be a little over a year since she was last seen in action. Correia hasn’t fought since her head-kick knockout loss to former champ Holly Holm in the main event of UFC Singapore. The Brazilian fighter is 34 years old and sports a pro MMA record record of 10-3-1.

Correia is currently ranked No. 10 in the division, while Aldana sits just one spot behind at No. 11.
