The card for the UFC’s upcoming trip to The Great White North is beginning to take shape.

Islam Makhachev and Kajan Johnson are set to fight in a lightweight bout at an upcoming July 28 UFC on FOX show that is expected to take place in Calgary, Alberta. Sources confirmed the matchup with MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani following an initial report by TASS.

A featherweight bout between Calgary’s own Hakeem Dawodu and Austin Arnett has also been added to the card.

Makhachev (15-1) is one of the lightweight division’s rising stars, having won three straight bouts and four of five since debuting in the Octagon in May 2015. In his most recent outing at UFC 220 in January, he needed just 57 seconds to knock out veteran Gleison Tibau.

Canadian Johnson is on a four-fight win streak, having recently dispatched Stevie Ray by split decision in March. A contestant on The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia, Johnson holds a 4-1 UFC record and a 23-11-1 record overall.

Dawodu (7-1-1) will look to bounce back from a disappointing UFC debut in March that saw him submitted in 39 seconds by Danny Henry, while Arnett (15-4) will try to snap a two-fight skid after losing a short-notice debut at UFC on FOX 27 to Cory Sandhagen via TKO.
