UFC women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg handily led the disclosed payroll at UFC 222, cashing $500,000 for her championship victory over Yana Kunitskaya.
The Nevada Athletic Commission released the event’s finalized salary information to MMA Fighting on Monday.
Cyborg scored a first-round knockout over Kunitskaya — the former Invicta FC bantamweight champion — in the main event of UFC 222. Kunitskaya earned a disclosed paycheck of $100,000 in defeat.
UFC 222 took place March 3 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The night’s main card aired live on pay-per-view.
Aside from the two headliners, three other fighters cleared the six-figure mark in earnings: Andrei Arlovski ($275,000), Brian Ortega ($200,000), and Frankie Edgar ($195,000).
Notably, jiu-jitsu phenom Mackenzie Dern earned a $25,000/$25,000 show/win split for her much-anticipated UFC debut. Dern defeated Ashley Yoder via split decision.
In addition to their commission-reported salaries, main card fighters Ortega, Sean O’Malley, Andre Soukhamthath, and undercard newcomer Alexander Hernandez also took home $50,000 fight night bonuses for their performances.
A complete list of the UFC 222 salaries can be seen below. As always, these figures do not represent a fighter’s total earnings, as certain sponsorship incomes, pay-per-view earnings or discretionary bonuses are not publicly disclosed.
