Is Conor McGregor setting up future title fights from his phone on a Sunday night?
“The Notorious” took shots at both Max Holloway and Tony Ferguson in replies on Twitter. McGregor is the UFC lightweight and former featherweight champion. Holloway is the current featherweight champ and Ferguson holds the interim lightweight title.
To Holloway, McGregor replied to his classy tweet about Frankie Edgar from Saturday night. At UFC 222, Brian Ortega knocked out Edgar in the first round to earn a shot at Holloway’s title. Holloway was supposed to fight Edgar on the card with the belt on the line, but fell injured last month and had to pull out. McGregor wrote that Holloway “bounced.”
Kid, you bounced. Leave it.

To Ferguson, McGregor replied to a video tweet from Saturday night of Ferguson oddly hitting a speed bag. Ferguson tagged McGregor in the post, saying to quit joking his style. McGregor responded: “You are a sad bastard, mate.”

Ferguson will meet Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 223 on April 7 in Brooklyn. Ferguson, Nurmagomedov and UFC president Dana White have said the fight will be for the “real” lightweight title, though McGregor has not officially been stripped. McGregor has not fought in the UFC since winning that belt at UFC 205 in November 2016.
