At UFC Fight Night 80 back in Dec. 10, 2015, Rose Namajunas took on Paige VanZant in the main event of the card. That night in Las Vegas, Namajunas put on a dominant performance against the then Team Alpha Male fighter, submitting her fifth round of their strawweight contest. “Thug” Rose earned an extra $50,000 for Performance of the Night awards.
Now, over two years later and having won the strawweight title, Namajunas is getting ready to defend her belt against the person she took it from — Joanna Jedrzejczyk. This rematch is set to go down on April 7 in the co-main event of UFC 223.
