UFC on FOX 28 salaries: Jeremy Stephens cashes $126,000 for KO win over Josh Emmett

UFC featherweight contender Jeremy Stephens led the disclosed payroll at UFC on FOX 28, cashing $126,000 for his headlining victory over Josh Emmett. The Florida State Boxing Commission released the event’s finalized salary information to MMA Fighting on Friday.

Stephens knocked out Emmett with a hellacious second-round sequence in the controversial main event of UFC on FOX 28. Emmett earned $45,000 in a losing effort.

UFC on FOX 28 took place Feb. 24 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. The night’s main card aired live on FOX.

Stephens, a veteran of 28 fights in the UFC, was the lone athlete who cleared the six-figure mark in earnings at UFC on FOX 28. The next highest earner was one-time strawweight title challenger Jessica Andrade, who pocketed $96,000 for her co-main event win over Tecia Torres.

In addition to their commission-reported salaries, Stephens, Ilir Latifi, Alan Jouban, and Ben Saunders also took home $50,000 fight night bonuses for their performances.
