Marcin Held’s brief run with the UFC is over, and he’s ready for a fresh start with ACB.
The Russian promotion announced Friday via social media that Held is the latest addition to its roster. Neither a date for his debut nor an opponent have been made official yet.
Just 26 years old, Held (23-7) has already competed in 30 pro MMA bouts and he emerged as a top prospect during his time with Bellator from 2011-2016. There, the Polish grappler went 11-2, winning a lightweight tournament and once challenging for the 155-pound title. He holds notable wins over Patricky Freire, Derek Anderson, and Rich Clementi.
Held’s run in the Octagon was less impressive as he lost his first three bouts with the organization, finishing with a 1-3 UFC record overall. In his most recent outing at UFC Gdansk in October, he defeated Nasrat Haqparast by unanimous decision.
