Erik Perez will soon be making his Combate Americas debut.
The former UFC bantamweight has been scheduled to headline Combate Estrellas 2 in his hometown of Monterrey, Mexico on April 20. ‘Goyito’ will be facing former rival D.J. Fuentes – who defeated him back in 2010 via submission. MMA Fighting recently learned the news.
‘Goyito’ signed with Combate Americas late last year. The 28-year-old Mexican fighter joined the promotion after having fought out his contract with the UFC.
Perez left the UFC on a three-fight win streak with his last victory being a split-decision win over Felipe Arantes back at UFC Fight Night 98 in November 2016. Perez is currently 17-6 in his professional MMA career.
