CM Punk is one of Chicago’s favorite sons, and it sounds like he could be fighting there soon.

In responding to a jab on Twitter, the former WWE superstar-turned-UFC fighter announced the date and location of his second appearance for the promotion: UFC 225 at the United Center in Chicago on June 9.

Punk (real name: Phil Brooks) wrote in the tweet that he plans to pick up a win on “June nine” and then celebrate with his wife (fellow WWE alumna “AJ Lee”) and coaches.

The UFC has not officially made any indication that Punk will be booked for the Chicago pay-per-view.

In his UFC — and MMA — debut back in September 2016, the now 39-year-old was submitted in 2:14 by Mickey Gall in a welterweight bout on the main card of UFC 203.
