The former flyweight championship challengers have been booked to fight at UFC on FOX 29 on April 14 at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz., officials announced Saturday.
Both Reis and Moraga are considered to be top contenders at 125 pounds and among the list of fighters who have taken a crack at knocking off divisional king Demetrious Johnson.
The 33-year-old Reis (22-8) fought Johnson more recently, losing by third-round armbar at UFC on FOX 24 last April. He is currently on a two-fight losing streak after being knocked out by Henry Cejudo at UFC 215. Prior to those setbacks, Reis had won five of six, including victories over Ulka Sasaki, Dustin Ortiz, and Scott Jorgensen.
Moraga, 33, earned a title shot 4 1/2 years ago, but fell to Johnson by fifth-round armbar. He has gone 5-4 since, rebounding from a career-worst three-fight losing stretch with back-to-back wins over Magomed Bibulatov and Ashkan Mokhtarian. Against Bibulatov at UFC 216 in October, the Phoenix native needed just 1:38 to score a knockout.
The updated card is as follows:
