Paddy Pimblett lands flying triangle armbar at Cage Warriors 90

New, comments

Paddy Pimblett returned to the winning column in dramatic fashion with a second-round flying triangle armbar against Alexis Savvidis on Saturday at Cage Warriors 90 in Liverpool.

“The Baddy” was making his lightweight debut having lost his featherweight title in his last outing against Nad Narimani.

After threatening with a series of heel hooks in the first round, “The Baddy” found himself defending an armbar at the end of the round.

Pimblett launched himself into a triangle after he was forced up against the fence early in the second. As Savvidis tried to defend the choke, Pimblett latched on to an armbar that forced the tap.

Pimblett called for a lightweight title shot after the win.
