Israel Adesanya isn’t wasting any time getting back to work.

Fresh off his impressive Octagon debut, the intriguing middleweight prospect has been scheduled to return April 14 against Marvin Vettori at UFC on FOX 29. The UFC announced the booking Friday.

An accomplished kickboxer who goes by the nickname “The Last Stylebender,” Adesanya (12-0) announced his arrival to the UFC middleweight division in thunderous fashion earlier this month, scoring a highlight-reel knockout over Rob Wilkinson at UFC 221. Following the win, which saw Adesanya nab a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus in his promotional debut, the unbeaten 28-year-old issued a warning to the 185-pound division.

He’ll now face Vettori (12-3-1), a fellow middleweight prospect who has gone 2-1-1 in his four appearances in the Octagon, beating the likes of Vitor Miranda and Alberto Uda.

Vettori seemed to call out Adesanya earlier this week on Twitter, although it should be noted that Adesanya is a Nigerian-born New Zealander, and not Australian.

UFC on FOX 29 takes place at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona. A lightweight showdown between Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier headlines the event, which will air live on FOX.
