Brian Ortega releases statement, reveals multiple injuries suffered in UFC 231 main event

Brian Ortega broke his silence after a gritty battle against UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway in the UFC 231 event Saturday night in Toronto.

Ortega, who agreed with the doctor’s stoppage in the Instagram post, says he broke his thumb and his nose against Holloway in a statement released Sunday night. Check it out below.

Ortega’s coach Rener Gracie also posted to Instagram on Sunday, saying his star fighter had nothing to be sorry about when it came to his UFC 231 performance.
