TUF 28 Finale salaries: Kamaru Usman cashes $150,000 for Rafael dos Anjos win

UFC welterweight contender Kamaru Usman led the disclosed payroll at TUF 28 Finale, cashing $150,000 for his one-sided decision victory over Rafael dos Anjos.

The Nevada Athletic Commission released the event’s finalized salary information to MMA Fighting on Monday.

Usman dominated dos Anjos to sweep the judges’ scorecards and insert himself into welterweight title contention in the main event of TUF 28 Finale. The victory marked Usman’s ninth consecutive under the the UFC umbrella.

Dos Anjos earned $110,000 in a losing effort.

The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale took place Nov. 30 at the Pearl Theatre at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The night’s main card aired live on FOX Sports 1.

Aside from the two main event competitors, only one other athlete on the card cleared the six-figure mark in earnings at TUF 28 Finale: Joseph Benavidez, the longtime flyweight contender who pocketed $146,000 for his undercard win over Alex Perez.

In addition to their commission-reported salaries, Usman, Benavidez, Juan Espino, and Roosevelt Roberts also took home $50,000 fight night bonuses for their performances.
