Round 1: Should be a good one here. David Branch got a big pop from the crowd when Buffer announced him out of Brooklyn. Referee for this one is Keith Peterson. Lg kick from Branch, who then eats an even wickeder one. Right away and without hesitation Branch ducks down and tackles Cannonier. Can’t hold him down though, as Cannonier gets up on fence and has some parting gifts there in the form of some punches, Branch throwing jabs, and now lowers again and gets his second takedown. He immediately grabs Cannonier’s back, and has him in a pretzel on fence. Now big shots from the back from Branch. A fan is yelling for him to “get that neck,” and Branch tries, but Cannonier rolls towards him and now is able to stand. Cannonier lands a nice elbow on the break, and they go to center. Branch comed in wit ha long overhand right, and then gets kissed up on the temples with a pair of nice counter shots. Branch landing jabs, once again drops for a takedown, this time he is thrawrted at first — now he gets Cannonier down. But he can’t keep the Alaskan-turned-Arizonan down. Cannonier is muscling Branch into the fence, and now opens ip with a series of a shots! He tries a spinning wheel kick and narrowly misses. Branch says “no no no.” They tie up at the end. MMA Fighting scores R1 for Branch, 10-9

Round 2: Branch right out there and swinging. He lowers again and then gets clobbered with a straight right hand that sends him reeling backwards and down! Now Cannonier jumps on him and is throwing mean shots trying to end this thing. Branch in trouble, and that’s it — Peterson calls a stop to it! Wow. That was sudden, explosive stuff from Cannonier.
