This is The A-Side Live Chat on MMA Fighting.

Today on the show, we’ll talk fallout from Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz 3. Ortiz won by knockout in the first round last Saturday and Liddell’s performance has come under major scrutiny. Should Liddell have even been in there with Ortiz? Is Ortiz being fairly criticized for his celebration and reaction afterward? Who should be on the receiving end of criticism — Golden Boy Promotions or the California State Athletic Commission?

We’ll also discuss the booking of Israel Adesanya vs. Anderson Silva for UFC 234 in February, which Marc had predicted previously. Is this the right matchup for Adesanya? Should Silva be taking on this kind of tough matchup against a much younger up-and-coming fighter?

In addition, UFC president Dana White said earlier this week that the promotion is parting ways with Sage Northcutt. Where will Northcutt end up? Is this a bad move by the UFC in casting aside a promising prospect? What should be gleaned from White’s statements?

We will also speak about UFC 231, which is coming up next week in Toronto and headlined by a featherweight title fight between Max Holloway and Brian Ortega. Are there still health concerns for Holloway? How does Ortega match up with him? Is Valentina Shevchenko vs. Joanna Jedrzejczyk in the co-main event one of the best women’s fights in UFC history?

Also on tap, Francis Ngannou is coming off a huge TKO win over Curtis Blaydes at UFC Beijing. Is Ngannou ready for another run? What’s next for him? And how about Alistair Overeem’s big finish over Sergei Pavlovich?

If there is time, we can talk about two UFC cards this weekend — the TUF 28 Finale headlined by Rafael dos Anjos vs. Kamaru Usman and UFC Adelaide headlined by Junior dos Santos vs. Tai Tuivasa. Bellator is also back with Bellator 210, headlined by Chidi Njokuani vs. John Salter.

There is plenty to talk about, so join us to discuss all of the above and much more. All is up for discussion. The chat will start at our time of 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.

As always, we’ll post the video window as the event draws near and answer any questions you might have if you post them in the comments below. For the comments you deem the most deserving, please click the “rec” button. Comments in green will get first priority.
