Round 1: Referee John Sharp on hand to oversee the co-main event. Some feints to start off, neither man wanting to make a mistake. Pavlovich snaps out a left hand, then a 1-2 combo over the top that Overeem defends against. Overeem gets Pavlovich against the fence, Pavlovich blocks a trip attempt. Overeem firing knees in the clinch. Pavlovich turns around and gets low for a double leg, it’s blocked and they separate. Right hand into a Thai clinch and Overeem is able to use it to push Pavlovich onto his back. He settles into Pavlovich’s guard. Overeem takes his time to posture up and then he lands a hard punch. More ground-and-pound, Pavlovich is turtling up and the referee has to wave it off.
