The post-fight chaos at UFC 229 wasn’t just limited to the Octagon.
Following the wild post-fight brawl between Khabib Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor, and the two fighters’ respective teams, a melee ensued inside the T-Mobile Arena between fans of the Nurmagomedov and McGregor. MMA Fighting’s Marc Raimondi received footage of the melee, which shows multiple McGregor fans being knocked unconscious as a crowd of people encircle them near one of the arena’s food courts.

Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor via fourth-round rear-naked choke to defend his UFC lightweight title in a fight that was being hailed by many as the biggest fight in the history of mixed martial arts. Following Nurmagomedov’s victory, the undefeated Dagestani fighter leapt over the cage and charged McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis, which sparked a raucous brawl between the two teams.
UFC 229 took place Saturday night, Oct. 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC president Dana White said at the event’s post-fight press conference that he was “disgusted” and “sick” over the situation. The Nevada Athletic Commission intends to investigate the brawl and many of the offending parties could be subject to punishment.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has not yet returned a request for information about any possible arrests at the arena Saturday night.
