This is The A-Side Live Chat on MMA Fighting.

Today on the show, we’ll talk Daniel Cormier defending his heavyweight title against Derrick Lewis at UFC 230. What would a win tell us about Cormier? Is there a path to victory for Lewis? Where does the division go from here? Marc is in New York prepping for fight week.

We’ll also discuss UFC 230, which featured a co-headliner between Chris Weidman and Ronaldo Souza, as well as Israel Adesanya vs. Derek Brunson on the main card. Does Weidman earn a title shot with a victory? Is this actually a more intriguing fight than the initially scheduled Weidman vs. Luke Rockhold rematch? How big of a coming-out party could this be for Adesanya at Madison Square Garden?

In addition, the Ben Askren-for-Demetrious Johnson trade is now official. Askren is heading to the UFC, while Johnson is off to ONE Championship. Who got the better of the deal? Are there any losers? Who should Askren fight first in the UFC?

We will also speak about Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson 2, which is set for UFC 232 on Dec. 29 in Las Vegas. Jones and Gustafsson — as well as co-headliners Cris Cyborg and Amanda Nunes — will be in attendance Friday in New York for a press conference. Can Jones reclaim past glory? Will Gustafsson finally get over the light heavyweight title hump?

Also on tap, we’ll chat about Georges St-Pierre and some of the rumors surrounding him. Could he fight Khabib Nurmagomedov next? If so, what would be next for Tony Ferguson? How about Conor McGregor?

If there is time, we can also talk about WWE Evolution, the all-women’s pay-per-view event held last Sunday in Long Island, N.Y. Marc was in attendance at the show. Is the UFC ready for a similar all-women’s event? How would it do?

There is plenty to talk about, so join us to discuss all of the above and much more. All is up for discussion. The chat will start at our time of 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.

As always, we’ll post the video window as the event draws near and answer any questions you might have if you post them in the comments below. For the comments you deem the most deserving, please click the “rec” button. Comments in green will get first priority.
