The spotlight is shining brightly on two title fights at UFC 231.

The event marks Holloway’s first fight since last December, where he defeated Jose Aldo for a second time in his first defense of the featherweight championship. After seeing their previously scheduled meeting at UFC 226 canceled due to Holloway being hospitalized with concussion-like symptoms, Ortega now gets his shot at the gold this December.
In the co-headliner, Shevchenko and Jedrzejczyk will compete in one of the most highly-anticipated female fights in MMA history. Shevchenko has previously bested Jedrzejczyk in kickboxing competition, but its Jedrzejczyk who made her mark in the UFC first, reigning as the promotion’s 115-pound champion from March 2015 to November 2017.
UFC 231 takes place on Dec. 8 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
