Alexey Kunchenko will face another veteran in the Octagon, taking on Yushin Okami at the UFC Adelaide card in Australia on Dec. 1, the promotion announced Wednesday.

Kunchenko (19-0), a former M-1 Challenge welterweight champion, impressed in his UFC debut in September, defeating former UFC title challenger and longtime veteran Thiago Alves via decision at UFC Russia. The undefeated Russian finished 13 of his 18 opponents by knockout before joining the North American promotion.

Okami (35-11), who competed once for the UFC middleweight title against Anderson Silva, returned to the promotion in Sept. 2017 to lose a short-notice bout with Ovince Saint Preux at light heavyweight. “Thunder” moved back down to 170 pounds after that, defeating Dhiego Lima via decision in April.

UFC Adelaide takes place at the Adelaide Entertainment Center in South Australia and features Junior dos Santos vs. Tai Tuivasa in the main event.
