The baddest man on the planet is finally getting paid like one.
UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic led the disclosed payroll for UFC 220, earning an event-high $600,000 purse for his record-breaking title defense over Francis Ngannou. The Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation released the event’s finalized salary information Tuesday to MMA Fighting.
Miocic handily defeated Ngannou via unanimous decision in UFC 220’s headlining bout to notch the third consecutive defense of his UFC heavyweight title, setting a new divisional record in the process. Ngannou earned $500,000 in the losing effort.
UFC 220 took place Jan. 20 at the TD Garden in Boston, Mass. The night’s main card aired live on pay-per-view.
The three other UFC 220 fighters who cleared the six-figure mark in earnings were UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier ($500,000), title challenger Volkan Oezdemir ($350,000), and light heavyweight veteran Gian Villante ($100,000).
In addition to their commission-reported salaries, Cormier, Abdul Razak Alhassan, Calvin Kattar, and Shane Burgos also took home $50,000 fight night bonuses for their performances.
A complete list of the UFC 220 salaries can be seen below. As always, these figures do not represent a fighter’s total earnings, as certain sponsorship incomes, pay-per-view earnings or discretionary bonuses are not publicly disclosed.
