UFC announces cast for The Ultimate Fighter 27: Undefeated

The big news Friday was the coaches for The Ultimate Fighter 27 — UFC champions Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier, who will fight for the heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 226 on July 7 in Las Vegas.

But also announced Friday by the UFC was the cast for TUF 27: Undefeated. None of the lightweight and featherweight fighters on the show have ever lost a bout before.

TUF 27 will have an international flavor. There are fighters from Italy, Ireland, Costa Rica, Australia and Spain. The ages range from 22 to 32.

The elder statesmen is John Gunther (6-0), a teammate of Miocic at Strong Style in Ohio. The two 22-year-olds are Joe Giannetti (6-0) of Massachusetts and Kyler Phillips (5-0) of Arizona. Costa Rica’s Allan Zuniga (13-0) sports the most wins, while Richie Smullen from Ireland is just 3-0-1. Smullen is a teammate of Conor McGregor at SBG Ireland.
