“Hot Sauce” isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
Scott Holtzman announced Wednesday on Instagram that he has re-signed with the UFC, his third contract extension with the promotion. Holtzman’s manager Daniel Rubenstein told MMA Fighting that it was a new, four-fight deal.
Holtzman (11-2) is currently on a two-fight winning streak and coming off a unanimous decision victory over Darrell Horcher at UFC Fresno last month. The Tennessee native has compiled a 4-2 record in the promotion’s lightweight division. Holtzman, 34, is a former XFC 155-pound champion.
Per Rubenstein, Holtzman is hoping to get on one of the UFC’s cards in April, before the expected birth of his child May 19.
