Aljamain Sterling didn’t waste any time responding to Rob Font’s callout following his win over Thomas Almeida at UFC 220.

The Massachusetts native dropped the highly touted Brazilian with a right hand in the second round of their bantamweight clash. Just as seemed Almeida had regained composure, “Time New Roman” blasted him with a head kick before finishing the fight with grounded shots.

In an interview with Fox Sports after the victory, Font called for a showdown ninth ranked bantamweight, Sterling.

“Like I said, I wouldn’t mind putting Sterling back on the stretcher man, let’s go,” he said in a backstage interview, referencing Sterling’s brutal knockout loss to Marlon Moraes in his last outing. “Sign that paper let’s go.”

Sterling directly replied to the Fox Sports clip of Font calling for a clash with him, claiming he would choke the 30-year-old unconscious.

It appears as though the New Yorker fells as though people are taking him lightly since he suffered the first stoppage loss of his career.
