There was nothing but respect, admiration and even some camaraderie between Chael Sonnen and Quinton Jackson leading into Bellator 192. That was then.
After Sonnen’s unanimous decision victory over Jackson in the main event of the card Saturday night in Inglewood, Calif., “Rampage” took a scathing dig at Sonnen in a Twitter post. Jackson wrote that Sonnen “fought a smart fight,” but “also fought like a bitch.”
Win or lose i fight like a man, love my fans that still rides with me,just know I’m still not done,i felt great in there.. i had great at cardio, but Chael fought a smart fight. But he also fought like a bitch ♂️

As many expected, Sonnen’s strategy was to stick and move on the feet and use his boxing to get inside enough to where he could shoot for takedowns. And “The American Gangster” was successful in doing that for the most part. In every round, Sonnen was able to get Jackson down. Near the end for the first, Sonnen took Jackson’s back and was going for a choke, but Jackson defended.
With the win, Sonnen will move on to the semifinals of the Bellator Heavyweight World Grand Prix tournament. He’ll face the winner of an April fight between Fedor Emelianenko and Frank Mir.
It’s unclear what’s next for “Rampage,” who just signed a new Bellator deal leading into this fight. Jackson, 39, showed no signs of being interested in retirement prior to Bellator 192. And he reiterated that in his post-fight tweet.
“Win or lose i fight like a man, love my fans that still rides with me,just know I’m still not done,i felt great in there,” Jackson said.
