INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Four fighters at Bellator 192 cleared a guaranteed six figures Saturday night, led by the two Bellator Heavyweight World Grand Prix tournament participants.
Both Chael Sonnen and Quinton Jackson made a guaranteed $300,000 for their main event bout at The Forum, per a document obtained by MMA Fighting from the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC). Sonnen defeated “Rampage” by unanimous decision to advance into the semifinals of the eight-man, yearlong tourney.
In the co-main event, Rory MacDonald beat Douglas Lima by unanimous decision to capture the Bellator welterweight title in a war of a fight. MacDonald and Lima both cleared a guaranteed $100,000. Lima had held the belt since 2016, while MacDonald is a former UFC welterweight title challenger who owns a win over UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
Former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler made a guaranteed $50,000 on Saturday night for his unanimous decision victory over Goiti Yamauchi. Yamauchi cashed $23,000 and would have won another $23,000 had he won.
Also on the card, prospect Aaron Pico made a guaranteed $60,000 — $30,000 to show and $30,000 for the win over Shane Kruchten. Henry Corrales cleared a minimum $40,000 — $20,000 to show and another $20,000 for his win over Georgi Karakhanyan.
