Former NFL Pro Bowl defensive end Greg Hardy is set to return to the mixed martial arts cage.

The 29-year-old Hardy, who trains with the American Top Team, will compete in an amateur heavyweight bout at LFA 33 in Dallas on Feb. 16.

The 2-0 Hardy will meet Ryan Chester (2-1).

Hardy played for the Carolina Panthers from 2010-14 and earned a Pro Bowl spot in 2013, then played for Dallas in 2015. He was involved in a domestic violence case in 2014, for which he was ultimately suspended by the NFL in 2015.

Hardy scored stoppage wins in 32 seconds and 1:36, respectively, in his first two amateur bouts.

LFA 33 is headlined by a matchup of unbeaten welterweights as Kyle Stewart (9-0) faces Jaleel Willis (8-0) in a show which will air on AXS-TV.
