Light heavyweight prospects Jordan Johnson and Adam Milstead will fight at UFC 222.
On Tuesday, officials announced that a bout between Johnson and Milstead has been added to the March 3 pay-per-view event, which is set to take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Featherweight champion Max Holloway (19-3) defends his title against Frankie Edgar (22-5-1) in the main event.
Johnson is undefeated in eight professional bouts. The 29-year-old is 2-0 inside the Octagon, having won unanimous decisions against Marcel Fortuna and Henrique da Silva last year after previously competing primarily in the Midwest.
Milstead (8-1, 1 NC) most recently saw a second-round TKO loss to Curtis Blaydes at UFC Houston overturned to a no-contest when Blaydes later tested positive for marijuana. Prior to that February contest, “The Prototype” had won eight consecutive bouts at heavyweight, all by knockout or submission including his UFC debut against Chris de la Rocha.
