Sara McMann now set to face Marion Reneau at UFC on FOX 28

Sara McMann is still fighting on Feb. 24. Just against a different foe than originally planned.

The 2004 Olympic wrestling silver medalist, who now trains at Team Alpha Male, was originally expected to face Invicta FC bantamweight champ Yana Kunitskaya at UFC on FOX 28 in Orlando. MMA Junkie broke the news earlier Wednesday.

Instead, McMann posted via Instagram on Wednesday that she would face Marion Reneau on the card. Reneau was originally slated to meet former Invicta bantamweight champ Tonya Evinger at UFC Austin on Feb. 18, but Evinger recently pulled out due to injury.

McMann (11-4) was upset by Ketlen Vieira in her last fight, tapping out to an arm-triangle in the second round at UFC 215. That snapped a three-fight win streak.

Reneau (8-3-1), meanwhile, is unbeaten in her last three fights at 2-0-1. She’s coming off a first-round TKO of Talita Bernardo in her last fight at UFC Rotterdam in September.

Reneau also confirmed the change on Twitter.
