On Thursday, the UFC officially announced five fights for their debut in Fresno.
Alexis Davis and Liz Carmouche will meet in a women’s flyweight battle between two one-time bantamweight title challengers. Their encounter at UFC Fresno will mark their first appearances at 125 pounds inside the Octagon and it will also be a rematch of a November 2013 encounter that Davis won by unanimous decision.
Davis (18-7) has already competed once in 2017, taking a unanimous decision over Cindy Dandois at UFC Nashville this past April. The Port Colborne, Ontario-native has alternated wins and losses in her past five, which also includes victories over Sarah Kaufman and Jessica Eye, and a title fight loss to Ronda Rousey.
For Carmouche (11-5), this will be her first fight since UFC 205 last November, where she defeated Katlyn Chookagian by split decision. “Girl-Rilla” is currently on a two-fight win streak.
Also announced were a lightweight bout between Scott Holtzman (10-2) and Darrell Horcher (13-2), a middleweight bout between Antonio Braga Neto (9-2) and Trevin Giles (10-0), a flyweight bout between Alex Perez (18-4) and Carls John de Tomas (8-1), and a previously confirmed middleweight bout between Eryk Anders (9-0) and John Phillips (21-6).
UFC Fight Night 123 will be hosted at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif. on Dec. 9.
