A bout between rising lightweight contenders James Vick and Joe Duffy has been added to the UFC’s next trip to Madison Square Garden.

On Monday, the promotion announced that Vick and Duffy will meet in a lightweight contest at UFC 217, which takes place in New York City, N.Y., on Nov. 4.

Vick (11-1) will be looking for his third straight win following a first-round TKO of Marco Polo Reyes at UFC 211 in May, and a third-round submission of Abel Trujillo in February. The Ultimate Fighter 15 semifinalist has won seven of his eight appearances inside the Octagon, with four of those wins coming by way of KO or submission.

Also looking to put together back-to-back wins is Donegal, Ireland’s Duffy (17-2). After recently testing free agency, Duffy signed a seven-fight contract with the UFC and Vick will be his first opponent on this new deal. Duffy is 4-1 in five UFC fights and he is well known for having submitted current UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor when they both competed for the Cage Warriors promotion back in 2010.

In the UFC 217 main event, middleweight champion Michael Bisping defends his title against Georges St-Pierre, which is one of three title fights booked for the card. Bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt fights former Alpha Male teammate T.J. Dillashaw, and Joanna Jedrzejczyk aims to tie Ronda Rousey’s record for the most title defenses by a female fighter at six when she takes on Rose Namajunas in a strawweight championship match.
