Bellator had one of their most entertaining shows of the year on Saturday night with a main card that featured three memorable finishes and the promotional debut of popular heavyweight Roy “Big Country” Nelson.
While the lightweight main event between Benson Henderson and Patricky Freire failed to live up to the high-octane action that proceeded it, there was more than enough entertaining moments to provide fodder for the pros who tuned in to Bellator 183. Freire won by a disputed split decision.
Whether it was in response to Paul Daley taking out Lorenz Larkin, Aaron Pico redeeming himself with a thudding KO of Justin Linn, or Nelson’s three-round war of attrition against Javy Ayala, fighters were eager to let their thoughts be known on Twitter:
