Lorenz Larkin was happy to stand and trade with Paul Daley, much to the British slugger’s delight.
It took him a round to get warmed up, but “Semtex” eventually made Larkin pay for testing his striking, blasting Larkin with a left hand before finishing him off with a combination in Round 2 of the Bellator 183 welterweight co-main event at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., on Saturday.

Larkin started off strong, scoring with kicks and straight rights in Round 1. After Daley slipped off a kick, Larkin went to work from top position and closed out the first five minutes with ground-and-pound. It looked like Daley was in serious trouble.
However, Daley managed to escape Larkin’s attempts to pressure him against the cage, and after clipping Larkin on a spinning backfist, Daley connected with the closing sequence to put a stop to the action at the 2:40 mark of the second frame.
