Suffice to say, Aaron Pico’s second venture into the cage went a lot better than the first.
Pico all but erased the memory of his 24-second loss to Zach Freeman in his MMA debut three months ago, starching Justin Linn in the first round of their featherweight bout at Bellator 183 on Saturday at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif.
The 20-year-old super prospect came out swinging right away, only using his vaunted wrestling to take Linn down when necessary and control the pace of the fight. Rather than grind out a win, Pico invited Linn to stand and bang with him, eventually landing the left hand kill shot at the 3:45 mark of Round 1.
