Bellator 183 live blog: Paul Daley vs. Lorenz Larkin

This is the Bellator 183 live blog for Lorenz Larkin vs. Paul Daley , a welterweight bout at Saturday night’s Bellator event at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif.

Daley, the knockout artist coming off a loss to Rory MacDonald, will square off against Larkin, who fell in his Bellator debut against Douglas Lima, in the co-main event.

Round 1: Larkin and Daley throwing high kicks to start this one off. They fall back into a more measured kickboxing rhythm, trading leg kicks and hooks. Neither man able to hold the center of the cage for long. Larkin backs Daley up with left shots, but he’s hesitant to press in too fast. He catches Daley on the chin again with a straight right. Daley slips off of a head kick and Larkin lands a punch from up top. Daley throws up a triangle that Larkin is able to shrug off. Side control for Larkin. He ends the round posturing up and landing some right hands.

Round 2: Daley head hunting to no avail, Larkin clinches up and puts Daley’s back against the fence. “Semtex” explodes out and throws heavy leather, but he can’t land anything substantial. Spinning shot by Daley misses, but he follows up with a left hook that stuns Larkin. A three-punch combo follows and Larkin goes down. Referee Mike Beltran steps in to waves this one off. Daley with the dramatic comeback win by TKO.
