Antonina Shevchenko, sister of Valentina, makes successful return to MMA

Valentina Shevchenko’s sister was victorious in her return to mixed martial arts.

Antonina Shevchenko, a muay thai a kickboxer who’s only fought once in MMA and that was back in 2005, returned to the ring Friday night in London to take on bantamweight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3.

Shevchenko got the nod from the judges after three rounds of action, thus improving her professional MMA record to 2-0.

Phoenix FC 3 also marked the MMA debut of former GLORY light heavyweight champion Saulo Cavalari. The Brazilian striker lost to Pavel Doroftei (19-4) via first-round submission.
