Andrea Lee landed overhand rights, she landed hooks to the body. She landed knees and elbows in the clinch. Lee landed hard leg kicks and a beautiful side kick for good measure.
Basically everything Lee threw Friday night, she landed. When it was over, Lee had a kimura submission victory over Jamie Thorton at 2:54 of the second round at LFA 23 in Bossier City, La. “KGB” defended her LFA women’s flyweight title with the victory.
In the first round, Lee could have easily been given a 10-8 score. She was dominant throughout. But Thorton was tough as nails and took all of Lee’s diversified offense. Lee managed much of the same in the second and once again Thorton took it. But once the fight got to the ground, Lee found the finish. She took Thorton down, got into side control and transitioned nicely into a kimura.

Lee (8-2) has won four in a row, splitting time between LFA and Invicta. She’s one of the top prospects in the flyweight division and seems a shoo-in for the UFC in the future if she keeps this up. Lee, 28, has won six of her eight victories by finish — five of them now by submission.
Thorton (4-4) has now lost three straight, including a head kick knockout loss to prospect Sabina Mazo in her last LFA fight back in April.
