Paul Daley, Lorenz Larkin have to be pulled apart after Bellator 183 weigh-in scuffle

The bad blood between Paul Daley and Lorenz Larkin boiled over at Friday’s weigh-ins for Bellator 183.

Daley and Larkin will collide in a battle of welterweight strikers in Saturday’s co-main event at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., but they looked eager to throw down a day early.

It was “Semtex” who stepped forward first, shouting in Larkin’s face, which prompted Larkin to deliver a hard shove to Daley’s chest that kicked off a frenzy of activity on stage and some colorful insults.

Larkin recently told MMA Fighting that he doesn’t care for some of the things Daley has had to say about their matchup and that may explain why he had zero tolerance for the British fighter’s antics on Friday.

“He can (overlook me), man. I don’t really know what to say, because I don’t have to prove it to nobody,” Larkin said. “The proof is in the pudding. I’ve done what I’ve done, so if that’s what he thinks, then he can think that for a couple more days. The good thing about this sport is we’ll be inside of the cage, and we’ll be placed across from each other. This is not something that you can just talk about and you’ll never see the person. We have a set date, so the only cool thing about all of this is everything that he says gets documented. It doesn’t go away. So he’ll have to answer for all of this after the fight.”
