UFC Japan weigh-in video, results: Mizuto Hirota misses weight

Mizuto Hirota was the only fighter on the UFC Fight Night 117 card that missed weight for Friday’s event at the Saitama Super Arena.

Japanese headliner Yushin Okami weighed in comfortably for his light heavyweight clash with Ovince St-Preux at 203.5. St-Preux came in at 206.

Despite holding home advantage over Charles Rosa for their featherweight clash, the former DEEP lightweight champion, Hirota, tipped the scales at 150 pounds.

As reported by MMAJunkie.com, Hirota “narrowly made” the two-hour weigh-in window, and “seemed a bit dazed” as he went through the process.

MMA Fighting have reached out to the UFC to clarify the status of the bout.

Kickboxing legend Gokhan Saki came in on the money at 205 pounds for his UFC debut against Brazilian Henrique da Silva. The duo shared a a tense face off after registering their respective weights.
