This is the UFC 215 live blog for Amanda Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko 2, a bantamweight bout at Saturday night's UFC event at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta.
Nunes, who has won five straight fights, will square off against Shevchenko who has won four of her past five fights, in the main event.

Round 1: Amanda Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko is finally here. The referee for this women’s bantamweight title fight is John McCarthy. The fight is on and Nunes lands a nice leg kick. Another one. Nunes really working the legs. Shevchenko having a hard time finding her range. Nunes is really battering Shevchenko’s legs. We’re half way through the round. Fans are beginning to boo due to the lack of activity. Nunes landing that inside leg kick again and again. Shevchenko with a head kick but misses. Nunes lands a kick to the body, Shevchenko catches it, goes for the takedown, but fails. The bell rings.

Round 2: Nunes pressuring Shevchenko, keeping her on the outside of the cage. Oh Shevchenko connects with a superman punch. Shevchenko attemps that superman punch again, but this time misses. Shevchenko looking much. more confident on the second. Shevchenko connects with a straight left. Good leg kick by Nunes. Nunes is not really attempting to throw much. Meanwhile, Shevchenko is looking a lot more loose. Solid combination by Shevchenko. Good kick to the body by Nunes. The round comes to an end. Very little action in that one.

Round 3: I got it even entering into the third. Shevchenko witha good body kick. Both fighters very tentative here, not much action going on. Nunes with a solid leg kick. Both fighters throwing shots but nothing significant landing. Two minutes left. Good right hand by Shevchenko. Shevchenko might be landing a little more, but Nunes is really controlling and dictating the action here. Nice inside leg kick by Shevchenko, but Nunes fires back with one of her own. The bell rings. Close round.

Round 4: And we enter the championship rounds. Good kick to the body by Nunes followed up by another one to the leg. Another leg kick by Nunes. Shevchenko clips Nunes. Nunes relly picking up on her leg kicks again. Nunes with another leg kick. Good counter combination by Shevchenko. Shevchenko with a good knee to the body. Very little action here. Nunes is doing most of the pressuring. They exchange combinations at the end but nothing lands for either fighter. Very close round.

Round 5: Couple of leg kicks land for Shevchenko. Oh and Nunes goes for the takedown. She fails but manages to get Shevchenko against the fence. Nunes really working for the double leg. They break off the clinch. Good leg kick by Shevchenko. Shevchenko goes for a heah-and-arm throw but missed and Nunes gets her back from turtle position. And Shevchenko gets back up, but gets pressed against the cage. Nunes gets Shevchenko on the canvas. She’s now working from the guard looking to land ground-and-pound. The bell rings and Nunes finishes on top. Very, very close fight.
