Vitor Miranda will be fighting a newcomer in his seventh UFC bout.
The Brazilian will be taking on Julian Marquez in a middleweight bout on Dec. 16 at UFC on FOX 26 in Winnipeg, Canada. The news was announced during the broadcast of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 8.
Miranda is currently on a two-fight losing streak with losses to Chris Camozzi and most recently Marvin Vettori. Prior to that, Miranda was on a three-fight win streak. The 39-year-old fighter is 3-3 in his UFC run, and 12-6 in his professional fighting career.
On the other hand, Julian Marquez is coming off a second-round knockout win at Dana White's Contender Series 4 earlier this month. The stoppage win over Phil Hawes earned Marquez a contract with the UFC. The 27-year-old fighter is 6-1 in his MMA career which includes a win over former UFC fighter Matt Hamill.
