The Conor McGregor vs. Paulie Malignaggi sparring videos have finally been released. Well, the most-talked about ‘knock down or push down’ in recent memory is out.
On Friday, UFC president Dana White posted a couple of clips on his personal Instagram account from the boxing sparring session between UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and former WBA and IBF champion Paulie Malignaggi. These videos come after Malignaggi controversially left McGregor’s training camp last week due to some leaked photos. Malignaggi claimed the photos of him laying on the canvas didn’t accurately portray his sparring session with the Irishman.
Although the former two-time boxing world champ gave McGregor his credit, saying McGregor got the better of him over the first five rounds, Malignaggi said that he took over from the sixth round and beyond, thus winning the sparring session as a whole. The 36-year-old Malignaggi also addressed the infamous leaked photo of him laying on the canvas, saying that he was a pushed down by McGregor and not a knockdown.
